No one is more discriminating or demanding than a residential client. That’s what makes residential architecture endlessly challenging.

Marci views the design process as a collaborative effort between architect and client. Although Marci will have a vision for the design of your home, throughout the design development phase she will supply you with many style examples, concepts, and ideas, which you can consider in designing the home or remodel that is perfect for you. Marci will not attempt to impose her views and style preferences upon you, but will work with you to bring out the best in your ideas and goals.

So, be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get to work! The choices will be yours.

Unlike many architects, Marci does not charge a fee based upon a percentage of estimated construction costs, but rather a very reasonable hourly rate. At the outset of your relationship, you will have full control over your design and construction budget.

Marci also has longstanding, excellent working relationships with a number of general contractors in the greater Puget Sound area. She can be invaluable in helping you evaluate contractors, so that you can choose the one that best suits your needs and budget. You should select your contractor as soon as possible during the design development phase. This allows for mid-design consultations with the contractor, so you can consider the potential cost of your project as you make the many decisions involved during the design phase.
